Deen Anbar (b. 1985) is a modern electric guitarist and recent arrival to the New York music scene. Having studied with such luminaries as George Garzone, Wayne Krantz, Chris Potter, Jean-Michel Pilc and Gil Goldstein, he is an active participant in a vibrant musical community. Deen began teaching at age 17, and after completing four semesters at New York University as a guitar instructor he is very excited to be among the distinguished faculty at New York City Guitar School!
Deen began playing guitar at age 14, but recalls being strongly influenced by music since he was much younger. It was a short matter of time before he was fully committed to his musical journey, and at age 18 began to study music performance at DePaul University in Chicago. Deen has never forgotten how valuable guitar lessons were for him when he was learning, and brings that same energy and enthusiasm he has for performing music to his own private lessons! Deen enjoys performing and teaching all styles of music, new or old, and can’t wait to help you achieve your musical dreams!
