Luke Schwartz may be one of the most patient and gentle people we've
ever met...but do not be deceived! Beneath his calm exterior rages the
flame of a monstrous player, composer...and teacher! He has taught
upper-level music theory and guitar ensemble at the
college level (University of S. Florida), as well as rock ensemble, intro to
strings, woodwinds, brass, piano, percussion, and bass and he's even
coached teen rock bands here at NYC Guitar School. His compositions
have been
presented at music festivals including the All-Florida Composer's
Symposium, the Emerging Paradigms Conference,
the Suncoast Music Education Research Symposium, and the 12-Nights
Electronic Music and Arts Festival. He has a B.A. in Music Theory and
a Masters in Music Composition from USF. We are delighted that he
has left the muggy reaches of Florida to join us here in Gotham! If
you're looking for a teacher who has tremendous technical depth, yet a
patient and music-based approach suitable for a beginner of any age,
Luke is your man!
