In this class you will learn three Brazilian songs and engage with your fellow students as an ensemble. Whether you are a near-beginner, intermediate or advanced; if you love Brazilian music, this class is for you!
The class is designed with emphasis in three areas:
1. The "rhythm" packet, for near beginners, will provide you with simplified 7th chords allowing for focus on accompaniment.
2. The "chord" packet, for intermediate players, gives you more advanced chords, 7th, 9th, 11th, 13th, ALT and Dim chords allowing for an expanded chord vocabulary and finger patterns.
3. The "melody" packet, for advanced players, contains the melody line in both Tablature and Music Notation allowing for developed solo skills and lead technique.
Current songs are "The Girl From Ipanema," "Wave" and "Corcovado." Students must have completed Near Beginner level or equivalent.
