Teen Rock Band Add-on
Open to Level III & IV students only!
Due to popular demand, we are now offering Teen Rock Band during the school year! Any current Level III or Level IV student can apply.
Students will gain confidence and experience playing with others under the patient and expert guidance of an experienced instructor. They will rehearse in a fully equipped studio, and then perform on-stage at a club in NYC as a band!
The group will play popular songs, including student requests. Students will gain skill in rhythm, lead and bass guitar and drums. Students should be familiar with open chords and basic barre chords, be able to play through at least five complete songs, and be open to switching off on instruments other than guitar. Note reading not required.
We've worked hard to make this class work for the student AND the student's family:
--Enthusiastic, patient and qualified teachers! They have extensive performing and teaching experience, college degrees in music and have been specially trained for this class.
--Amps, drum kits, keyboards, and a PA system are always provided as part of the fully equipped studio. Most students at this level choose to bring their own instrument and cable.
--Because this class focuses on working in a group, students will sign up for a specific day and time, and rehearsal times cannot be made-up.
It takes four to rock! Bands with less than four people will be rescheduled one to two weeks later while we get more people signed up. Bands that have been re-scheduled once and are still short on members will be cut and students will receive refunds.
