A graduate of Mannes College’s classical guitar program, Koby has been studying the guitar for 16 years, thanks to some amazing teachers! He has performed at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall and Neue Galerie, in addition to master classes led by Benjamin Verdery, Fred Hand, and Martha Masters. When he’s not performing classical repertoire, Koby composes and arranges a wide variety of styles including big band jazz, indie rock, noise, and improvisational music. He has also played guitar in pit orchestras for professional musical productions, frequently doubling on mandolin, banjo, and electric bass. Koby loves teaching private lessons, and believes that everyone can (and should) learn to play the guitar! His enthusiastic and patient style, as well as his attention to detail, makes him an ideal teacher for students of all ages.
