Our mission is Coaching Personal Greatness One Lesson At A Time. One way we do that is through through our summer internship program for Rising Senior campers and post-high school former campers, which provide focused and hardworking young musicians the opportunity to deepen their musical skills and identity while gaining real world experience in a fast paced and high quality work environment.
6 Week Paid Internship, July 8-August 15, 8:30am-5:15pm Monday-Thursday (show days go later)
For students who have graduated from high school. Get real world experience working in the music industry! Our camp has many outstanding veteran students who have attended our camp for multiple summers, completed the internship program and have gone on to study music and non-music related majors in college. The interns help run the daily operations of the camp, guide families during orientation, coach younger students and run backstage operations during the final showcases. It is a serious job and we select students who display maturity, a willingness to work hard, reliability and a dedication to the mission of the camp, which is supporting the musical development and personal greatness of the younger campers. There are two internships available in 2019.
Compensation: $1500 for 6 weeks ($400 stipend per two week session, $300 BONUS for perfect attendance), Awesome NYCGS T-shirt. Interns also get to perform a song in the “Intern Band” at each show!
2 week Tuition Internship, Three options: July 8-18, July 22-August 1, or August 5-15, 8:30am-5:15pm Monday-Thursday (show day go later)
Gain valuable work experience as an intern for one 2-week session! Support and contribute to the development of younger campers. Positive attitude, great work ethic, and love of working with kids is most important! Experience playing guitar, bass, drums, piano, or vocals is a plus. Applicants must be entering their senior year of high school next Fall. There are a total of six internships available in 2019, two for each camp session.
Compensation: $400 tuition scholarship to use toward any NYC Guitar School lessons or classes, Awesome NYCGS T-shirt. Interns also get to perform a song in the “Intern Band” at each show!
